The short version

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. We only receive personal information when you buy the book, sign up for the free fridge sheet, or write to us, and we use it only to deliver the book and help you.

Visiting this site

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the time of the request, to keep the site running and secure. We don't use them to identify you.

Buying the book

Checkout runs on our store at passportprotravel.com, powered by SureCart and shared with our sister brand Passport Pro Travel. It collects your name, email address and payment details and passes payments to its payment processor. We receive your name, email and order details so we can deliver the book, send updates to it and answer your questions. We never see your full card details. The checkout page is covered by the privacy policy on passportprotravel.com.

Emails

We email you about your order and about free updates to the book you bought. We only add you to our newsletter if you choose to sign up, for example for the free fridge sheet. That sign-up form, on this site and on themediterraneanhousehold.com, sends your email address straight to Kit, our newsletter service. You can unsubscribe from any newsletter email with one click.

Legal basis (EU and UK visitors)

We process order information to perform our contract with you, and keep accounting records because the law requires it. Newsletter emails are based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, usually up to seven years. Emails you send us are kept while we help you and for a reasonable time after.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to hello@themediterraneanhousehold.com. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
